Our Story

Kamuela Gourmet Granola began on the little island of Lanai in Hawaii. Lanai was a wonderful place to live but we didn’t always have access to our favorite foods.  We really missed high-quality, freshly made granola.

Initially, I created a granola that my husband would like to eat (he enjoys it straight from the bag as a snack). Then, I began to make new flavors that I shared with friends.  Everyone enjoyed the variations so much that I realized I now had a line of seasonal flavored granola!

Eventually we moved to beautiful Kamuela (also known as Waimea) on the Big Island of Hawaii.  Our family grew to include our amazing daughter, a loving Border Collie and our newest member, Kamuela Gourmet.

OUR FAMILY'S FAVORITE WAYS TO ENJOY KAMUELA GOURMET GRANOLAS

Picture a  bowl of Greek style yogurt, topped with Kamuela Gourmet granola.  It’s a great way to start your day, a little something for the afternoon or just after a workout.  For a fun change, try it with coconut, almond or soy versions of yogurt.  

The chunkiness of our granola makes it the perfect snack, or the quintessential trail mix.  Just imagine yourself hiking in the mountains, sitting at the beach watching the sunset or flying off to places unknown.

If you’re feeling creative, try adding our granola into your favorite cookie recipe to add a bit of crunch and excitement. It also makes a wonderful topping on your fruit crisp or crumble!

If you’d like to take a walk on the wild side, peaches or strawberries and cream with a sprinkling of granola would do the trick.

Oh, and don’t forget to experience the winning combination of granola on top of ice cream. There is nothing better. Well, maybe adding a little hot fudge chocolate, salty caramel, apple cider cinnamon or butterscotch sauce with a sprinkling of granola on top.
